This calculator provides a general estimate only. Overtime laws and payroll rules can vary by location, employer, and job classification.

How the time card calculator works

For each day, Numviro calculates the time between your clock-in and clock-out entries and subtracts the unpaid break you enter.

Daily work hours = Clock-out − Clock-in − Break time

Weekly hours are the sum of all daily work hours. Hours above your selected weekly overtime threshold are separated as overtime hours.

Estimated pay = Regular hours × hourly wage + Overtime hours × overtime rate

Example

If you work 42.5 hours in a week at $25 per hour with overtime paid at 1.5× after 40 hours, the first 40 hours are paid at $25 and the remaining 2.5 hours are estimated at $37.50 per hour.

Frequently asked questions

Can I leave days blank?

Yes. Days without both a start and end time are ignored.

Does the calculator support overnight shifts?

Yes. If the end time is earlier than the start time, Numviro treats the end time as occurring the next day.

Can I change the overtime threshold?

Yes. The default is 40 weekly hours, but you can enter another threshold for estimation purposes.

Does this calculate take-home pay?

No. Results are estimated gross pay before taxes, benefits, deductions, and other payroll adjustments.
