How to calculate biweekly pay

Biweekly pay means pay received every two weeks. A typical year has 26 biweekly pay periods.

Hourly biweekly pay = Hourly rate × Weekly hours × 2

If overtime applies, overtime earnings are calculated separately using the overtime multiplier and added to regular pay.

Salary biweekly pay = Annual salary ÷ Number of biweekly pay periods

Example

At $25 per hour and 40 regular hours per week, regular biweekly gross pay is $25 × 40 × 2 = $2,000.
